Cigna International Health is embarking on an ambitious project to modernize its portal and self-service application, aiming to expand our health businesses globally. Responsibilities
As an Entry-Level Software Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
Project Delivery:
Execute Software Projects: Ensure timely delivery of software projects within budget and quality standards.
Develop Solutions: Use TDD (Test-Driven Development) methodology to create robust solutions.
Align Projects: Execute project plans and application designs to align with IT strategy and standards.
Development:
Design Principles: Follow design principles and development processes to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leads to develop high-quality, scalable APIs and microservices.
Operational Efficiency:
DevSecOps: Utilize DevSecOps practices to streamline processes, tools, and workflows, optimizing engineering operations and enhancing productivity.
Requirements
Programming Skills: Strong programming skills and understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in one of the following: Python, NodeJS, JVM (Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin), .NET.
Software Design: Awareness of software design principles and the OSI model of layer software architecture.
Database Knowledge: Awareness of SQL, database concepts, key-value stores, and HTTP protocol.
Communication Skills: Good communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team while confidently expressing thoughts and ideas.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
