We are seeking a talented product designer to join us in this exciting journey.

Responsibilities

As a product designer at Smallcase, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our products. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Concept Development: Collaborate with the product team and other designers to transform ideas into sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to find elegant yet practical solutions to design challenges.
• Design Process Support: Assist the team through different phases of the design process, rapidly producing multiple concepts and knowing when to focus on pixel-perfect details or low-fidelity sketches and prototypes.
• Design System Maintenance: Update the design system according to the central design library and implement UI improvements.
• Graphic Design: Create graphics and illustrations based on requirements, supporting sales activities such as newsletters, case studies, and product documentation. Use appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic.
• User Research: Coordinate and participate in research to gather user insights.
• Design Audits: Lead design audits to analyze all design elements across products, ensuring consistency with the design system.

Requirements

We are looking for highly motivated designers who thrive in a fast-paced work environment. You will be a great fit if you:

Have 0-2+ years of experience crafting product experiences for multiple screen sizes and platforms. Freshers with a strong portfolio and a passion for design are also encouraged to apply.

Possess excellent visual and interaction skills, including typography, font pairings, color theory, visual hierarchy, micro-interactions, and animations. Proficiency in UI and interaction design tools like Sketch, Figma, After Effects, Photoshop, etc., is essential.

Have a strong understanding of common UX patterns and UI patterns for different platforms and form-factors.

Understand prototyping and information architecture well.
