Job Summary: General Ledger Accountant

Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for accounting? Our company is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to manage period close activities, perform cost allocation and reporting, calculate monthly accruals and provisions, and prepare and validate amortization schedules. If you have a knack for numbers and a keen eye for accuracy, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Month-End Close: Execute month-end closing activities and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances.

Accounting Analysis: Conduct thorough accounting analysis for accruals, prepaid expenses, and account reconciliations.

Intercompany Transactions: Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions with precision.

Foreign Currency Exchange: Analyze and perform foreign currency exchange transactions and related accounting.

Cost Allocation: Efficiently manage cost allocation activities to support financial planning and analysis.

Period-End Reporting: Prepare detailed schedules for period-end reporting, ensuring all data is accurate and comprehensive.

Sub Ledger Reconciliation: Reconcile Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payables, and Fixed Assets sub-ledger balances to the general ledger.

Audit Support: Assist auditors in conducting both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Variance Analysis: Review financial reports to identify and explain variances, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

Documentation Retention: Adhere to documentation retention policies to maintain organized and accessible accounting files.

Cash Flow Management: Prepare cash flow statements and resolve any outstanding balancing issues.

Standard Compliance: Follow standard accounting principles and company procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

Decision Support: Perform detailed accounting analyses and reporting to support business decision-making processes.

Education and Experience:

Experience: 0-2 years of accounting experience is preferred.

Education: A Postgraduate degree in Accounting and Finance is required. This position typically requires no previous professional experience.
