Job Opportunity: Incident Response Engineer (CSIRT)

Experience: 1 to 3 years

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and eager to make an impact? Zoho is looking for a skilled Incident Response Engineer to join our Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT). This role is ideal for professionals with experience in security operations, incident response, or threat handling. As part of our team, you will develop and manage tools, systems, processes, and playbooks to enhance our information security posture and effectively handle security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

Incident Coordination: Collaborate with various teams during security incidents to ensure effective communication and response. Serve as a Triage Specialist and Incident Coordinator, keeping management and stakeholders updated on the status and resolution of incidents.

Artifact Analysis: Collect and analyze intrusion artifacts and evidence, such as threat traces, source code, and malware, to mitigate potential cybersecurity issues within the organization.

Post-Incident Reviews: Conduct thorough post-incident reviews to identify improvements in security posture and incident response processes.

Strategy Development: Work with other security teams to develop strategies and plans aimed at preventing future incidents.

Technical Analysis: Perform detailed technical analyses, including log reviews, to identify compromise indicators and detect unusual activities.

Solution Development: Create and maintain scalable solutions to accelerate investigations and integrate forensic analysis into the incident response process.

Performance Metrics: Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of incident response efforts.

Automation: Automate repetitive tasks within the incident response process to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Experience: 1-3 years in incident response, digital forensics, security operations, engineering, threat analytics, or security incident and event management systems (SIEM).

Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of security technologies and systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-malware software, and authentication systems.

Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work in a 24x7 shift environment to investigate security alerts and provide incident response.

Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of programming concepts, networking, infrastructure, OSI layers, and operating systems.

Risk Assessment: Experience with risk assessments and access controls.

Cloud and SaaS: Experience with Cloud and SaaS environments is an added advantage.
